Statement of Circumstances
Victoria – Gippsland and the Western District Seasonal Milk Supply – Non-Exclusive
We are required by clause 12(2)(b) of the Dairy Code to publish on our website a statement of the circumstances in which we would enter into a Milk Supply Agreement with suppliers in the standard form for each region.

Volume Criteria | At the time the farmer offers to enter into this agreement, we have not already entered into sufficient milk supply agreements to meet our demand for milk
Committed monthly volumes proposed by the supplier must meet the Supply Profile outlined below |
Supply Profile | Our primary activity and milk usage under this agreement is for the processing of milk into ingredients such skim milk concentrate, milk powders and cream cheese. This is specifically for a Seasonal Milk profile.
A Seasonal Milk profile is those Suppliers that provide the majority of their milk to us in a 6 month period. A Seasonal Milk Profile is a farm that has a “seasonal supply ratio” of >30% but <40% for the coming financial year and calculated in accordance with the following formula:
½ Feb plus March, April, May, June, July and ½ August production
Full 12 months production
= “Seasonal supply ratio” expressed as a %

Milk Specifications | Based on past performance, the milk to be supplied meets a quality standard of:
Somatic Cell Count <200,000 cells/mL Bactoscan of <80,000 IBC/mL Thermoduric of <2,000 cfu/mL |
Compliance with our standards | You are able to comply with the terms and conditions of our MSA.
New suppliers will require a visit from our Supplier Relationship Manager to ensure that the standards required will be met |
Milk collection | Safe tanker access and logistically efficient for us to collect
A minimum milk collection of 400L, at least every second day, and milk is no more than 48hrs old. |
