We are pleased to announce that, as part of our commitment to ending violence against women, all Lactalis Australia and Lactalis Group companies in Australia are now official White Ribbon Workplaces.
We are the first FMCG companies in Australia to be awarded this important accreditation by White Ribbon and we hope it will encourage others to follow suit.
We have been working with White Ribbon since 2015, when our Women in Lactalis Australia chose to support this cause by holding fundraising drives and raising awareness of how we, as an organisation and as individuals, could make a real difference.
With this accreditation, we’ve taken our commitment a step further, adapting our organisational culture, practices and procedures so that they actively promote safe workplaces for women and respectful relationships. We already had in place a strong organisational culture which promotes fairness but we have added to this with a Domestic and Family Violence Policy and Domestic Leave Policy.
We will kick off our third annual White Ribbon fundraising drive with special events at all our sites from 22nd – 28th November, with Lactalis Australia and Lactalis Group Companies in Australia matching all funds raised by employees dollar for dollar.
Achieving accreditation is not the end. We have drawn up an operational plan to ensure we continue to promote a culture of zero tolerance towards violence against women and provide a safe and respectful place in which women can excel.
